Description
There are two types of heat exchangers that can be present in boilers, the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger (plate to plate). The primary is present in almost all boilers and it’s purpose is to transfer the heat from the burner to the water within the system. The secondary heat exchanger (plate to plate) is only present in combination (combi) boilers and allows the heat to be transferred between two closed systems.
